Varmints rehearsals under way
Varmints, choreographed by New Wave Associate Wilkie Branson and directed by Sally Cookson is preparing to head back out on it’s second ever tour starting at the Lilian Baylis Studio on Good Friday. Rehearsals are in full swing with two new cast members – Simone Sistarelli and Natasha Gooden – who perform alongside Wilkie and Mariana Camiloti.

Havana Rakatan nominated at the LUKAS awards
Sadler’s Wells’ very own Havana Rakatan has been nominated for a Latin UK Award in the Theatre Production of the Year category. This is the first time one of Sadler’s Wells’ own productions has been nominated for a LUKAS, and so we’re keeping everything crossed for a win.
The voting closes on 1st April and the awards are announced on 13th May. Good luck team!
Sutra is a big hit in Taiwan
Some seven years since Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s Sutra was first performed, the show finally made a stop in Taiwan where it was performed to huge acclaim by the audience.

Breaking News: Russell Maliphant Company perform Critical Mass for Prince William
As part of the GREAT Festival of Creativity, celebrating creativity in business in China, Russell Maliphant Company were invited to Shanghai to perform Maliphant’s celebrated Critical Mass. Thomasin Gülgeç and Dickson Mbi stunned an audience of invited guests including people from the business world, into silence with their virtuoso performance.

Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s m¡longa made it’s US debut last week at New York City Center as part of the A Bailar festival. It charmed audiences and critics alike with the New York Times calling it an “impassioned production” with “exceptional dancers”
