Pop-up train performance for Dance: Sampled in Birmingham
Birmingham New Street train station was transformed into a dance floor where the only arrivals were contemporary dance and tango. Showcasing two of the ranging talents that would later be on the Hippodrome stage Julia Urruty and Claudio Gonzalez an award winning tango duet alongside Acosta Danza dancers Julio Torres and Yanelis Godoy cho-cho-chose to smash it at the station.

Russell Maliphant Company at the centaur of attention
Russell Maliphant Company were in Chalons sur Soane to perform their twentieth anniversary show Conceal ǀ Reveal at L’espace des Arts before heading to Athens’ Megaron and then onto Cardiff’s British Dance Edition.
All their performances were received spectacularly by mesmerised and captivated audiences across Europe. The mix of Russell Maliphant’s exquisite choreography with Michael Hull’s lighting enthralled the audiences as the five talented dancers tantalised them.

RUSSELL MALIPHANT-ASTIC
Russell Maliphant Company were in Salford during their UK regional tour last week with a performance at The Lowry of their brand new show Conceal |Reveal.
Conceal |Reveal, which consists of both new and classic work including a brand new quintet and a solo for Dana Fouras, alongside the renowned Broken Fall, went down exceptionally well at The Lowry – proving the proof really is in the pudding. Not only was the dancing astounding, but accompanied by music composed by Mukul and Barry Adamson and costumes designed by Stevie Stewart, this show is not to be missed.

Russell and bustle in the Maliphant studio
Russell Maliphant Company have been in their studio working on the upcoming show Conceal | Reveal: an evening of three works.
Pictured above hard at work choreographing and composing Conceal | Reveal are Mukul the composer, Russell Maliphant, and Dana Fouras. The show will include a revival of Broken Fall, a new solo for former Royal Ballet Dancer Dana Fouras, as well as a brand new quintet.
Conceal | Reveal will celebrate the 20 year collaboration between Russell Maliphant and lighting designer Michael Hulls and premieres on 2 October 2015 at DanceEast, Ipswich.

Eiffel In Love With Still Current In Paris
Russell Maliphant Company was in Paris this week for two performances of Still Current at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. The final night’s performance to a sold out audience was emotionally stunning and captivated the rapturous audience as Carys Staton, Thomasin Gülgeç, Dickson Mbi, and Alexander Varona exquisitely danced ‘Still’, ‘Afterlight’, ‘Two’, ‘Critical Mass’, and ‘Still Current’.
These performances were the final performances of Still Current this year. But worry not because Russell Maliphant Company are now concentrating on creating a new production, Conceal │ Reveal that will premiere this coming autumn.
It’s all Still Current in Lörrach and Linz
Russell Maliphant’s Still Current visited Germany and Austria at the end of April. First stop was the Burghof theatre Lörrach. The performance enraptured the crowd who were treated to an insightful post show discussion following the show.
Next up for Russell Maliphant Company was Linz’s Posthof: a one time heritage-listed farm and now a theatre. Here, Still Current dazzled the audience with its combination of award-winning and brand new solos and duets accompanied by Michael Hull’s masterful lighting. At the end of the show the Linz audience broke into a great thunderous applause.
Breaking News: Russell Maliphant Company perform Critical Mass for Prince William
As part of the GREAT Festival of Creativity, celebrating creativity in business in China, Russell Maliphant Company were invited to Shanghai to perform Maliphant’s celebrated Critical Mass. Thomasin Gülgeç and Dickson Mbi stunned an audience of invited guests including people from the business world, into silence with their virtuoso performance.

PUSH enjoys a standing ovation on return to London
Sadler’s Wells’ production PUSH enjoyed rapturous applause and a unanimous standing ovation on it’s opening night at the London Coliseum yesterday. These performances are the last time PUSH will be performed in London which only added to the excitement of the audience.

Russell Maliphant Company performers Thomasin Gülgeç and Dickson Mbi have always wanted to be poster boys. Their dreams were fulfilled when they arrived in Russia last week and spotted these rather large images of themselves ahead of their sell out performances of Still Current.
Russell Maliphant and assistant producer Fanny Bannet were greeted at the airport by some traditional folk musicians…
…before being interviewed for Russian TV.
